Dwinity Receives the BSFZ Seal 2026

Dwinity Receives the BSFZ Seal 2026: Our Work is Officially Recognized as Research & Development

There are milestones that mark progress. And then there are milestones that redefine what you are.

Today, we are proud to announce that Dwinity has been awarded the BSFZ Seal 2026 — the official certification granted by Germany’s government-authorized body for Research & Development recognition, the Bescheinigungsstelle Forschungszulage.

This is not just an award. It is a statement.

What the BSFZ Seal Means

The BSFZ does not hand out certifications lightly. Its mandate is to evaluate whether a company is genuinely pushing the frontiers of what is technologically possible — not simply building products, but advancing knowledge itself.

To receive the BSFZ Seal means that an independent, government-authorized institution has looked at what you are building and concluded: this is real Research & Development.

For Dwinity, that confirmation covers three pillars that sit at the very core of what we do:

Decentralized data ownership — rethinking who controls personal and organizational data, and building the infrastructure to make true ownership a reality rather than a promise.

Blockchain-based digital identity — creating identity systems that are sovereign, verifiable, and free from central points of failure or control.

Digital Twin infrastructure — developing the technological foundation that allows the physical and digital worlds to mirror each other with precision, trust, and transparency.

Each of these is not a feature. Each is a research frontier.

Why This Matters Beyond the Certificate

We live in a world where the word “innovation” has been stretched so thin it has nearly lost its meaning. Every product launch is called a breakthrough. Every update is called revolutionary.

The BSFZ process cuts through that noise. It asks hard questions. It demands technical evidence. And it only certifies what genuinely qualifies.

That rigor is exactly why this recognition matters to us.

At Dwinity, we have always believed that digital sovereignty — the right of individuals and organizations to control their own data, identity, and digital presence — is not a product feature. It is a fundamental right that technology must be built to protect.

The BSFZ Seal confirms that the work required to make that vision real is research. Deep, serious, technologically complex research.

Looking Forward

This recognition does not change our direction. It confirms it.

We will continue building the infrastructure for a decentralized digital future — one where ownership is not delegated to platforms, where identity is not rented from corporations, and where the digital twin of a person, a company, or an asset belongs to its rightful owner.

The BSFZ Seal 2026 is a waypoint, not a destination.

Digital sovereignty is not a slogan. It is now officially recognized research.

And we are just getting started.
