Bridging the Gap: Driving Real-World Adoption of Web3 Technologies

Blockchain Technology has enormous potential to change the way we share, store and analyze data, and it helps solve privacy issues when we think about how to handle personal data.

The Deutsche Museum in Munich is a wonderful place to discuss one of the most significant technological developments of the last decade: The Blockchain Technology.

Therefore, so many exciting players from around the world, from the US to various European countries and the APAC region, discussed at the Blockchain Conference, organized by TUM Blockchain Club, how to make the internet more private and secure for their users, individuals and corporations. It is a fact that privacy is at the center of so many discussions, the concerns of users are real, and if the monopolists do not act against criminal activity, more and more users will turn away from traditional web applications and tools.

Insights

This year, the number of cyberattacks on companies in the DACH region in the second quarter of 2024 increased by 40 percent compared to the previous year. From a global perspective, the number of attacks per week and organization has increased by 30 percent. In addition, individuals are also increasingly exposed to attacks, phishing emails, identity theft and data theft. As a result, more and more people are looking for safer ways to use the internet and to share their data with others.

But why is the blockchain so important to move forward?

  • Blockchain is immutable. Once something is stored in the blockchain, it cannot be deleted or changed.
  • Blockchain technology facilitates the secure exchange of data in the supply chain.
  • Blockchain technology is the foundation for secure and transparent data analysis in the modern world.

And when it comes to AI, blockchain technology is the foundation for harnessing high-quality data that we can continue to trust in the future.

To achieve decentralized AI (dAI), we need to lay the groundwork by building a robust, decentralized Web3 infrastructure. At the blockchain conference, many players in this field are on a similar path. Networks built for owners like the LTO network can change the way we think about storing data. It was impressive to hear Pankhuri Bansal on the great panel “The Convergence of Web3 and AI”.

Over 1.000 participants and 150 speakers from around 25 nations attended the Blockchain Conference at the Deutsches Museum in Munich from September 12-13, 2024.

Gurgen Arakelov, CEO of Fair Math, told the audience: “Blockchain has great potential to bring privacy to AI.” Therefore, it is important that we need more real-world cases with the technology, more Web3 cases with a business focus, and we need to find ways that are better than the traditional system. Competing with a system that is good now is the most difficult factor hindering the growth of the blockchain infrastructure. And the biggest factor in strengthening the position is that it can democratize the web, said Niclas Butz of the United Nations.

Unified Vision: Accelerating the Decentralized Future of AI and the Web

At the TUM Blockchain Conference, it was impressive to see how the industry is growing and how many people are working on the vision of making the internet secure and private. The Dwinity team met many of the elite of the blockchain community and the conversation about Dwinity’s product received a lot of attention and positive encouragement. We at Dwinity are committed to the industry and share the same vision. If we all want to see the growth of a decentralized AI and a decentralized web, we have to work together and turn our visions into realities.

Additional we would like to say a BIG thank you to the organizers of the Ecosystem Night Bundesblock and Blockchain Bayern e.V. plus W3MUC-Community! We enjoyed the pizza and the delicious beer of the Metabrew Society.
